My motivation is those that have done it before me.
Another amazing weekend for the Pan Mass Challenge, the weather was just epic. Again this year during the first weekend of August, the roads down to the end of Cape Cod were filled with 5000 riders all out for the same cause…curing cancer. Billy Star who organizaed the PMC over 30 years ago sent out an amazing email to congratulate all the riders:
Through your respective roles you carry each other to new heights of performance and grace. I am sharing a portion of an email I received from an “anonymous” friend that, I believe, captures the essence of the PMC.
”The greatest compliment I can make of the PMC is that if you told me I was going to die on Sunday, which I hope of course does not happen, I would be thrilled to have spent my last day on Saturday riding the PMC: doing something to try to improve our world, and experiencing all that is best in humanity: teamwork and giving of oneself for others. The riders and volunteers behave in a way that IF there is a God, they would all be acting exactly as God would hope for humans - caring more about others than themselves on behalf of this amazing weekend!”
Exactly. Thank you all.
Two of the brightest, down to earth guys from within the disruptive technology scene kick-back and shoot the shit. Sadly, since Kevin Rose just took over as CEO for Digg this could be the last episode.
